What is World Thinking Day?
Each year, Girl Guides and Girl Scouts throughout the world celebrate Thinking Day on February 22. On this important date Girl Guides and Girl Scouts give special emphasis to international friendship. February 22 was chosen because it is the birthday of both our Founder, Robert Baden-Powell, and the World Chief Guide, Olave Baden-Powell.
For 2010, the theme is “end extreme hunger and poverty”.
World Thinking Day is a chance for Girl Guides and Girl Scouts to think about their friends in other parts of the world and put thoughts into action by raising funds for the World Thinking Day Fund.
